  • Shiela Y. Moore - Chief Executive Officer

    Shiela Y. Moore - Chief Executive Officer

    Shiela began her tenure as CEO of Hildebrand Family Self-Help Center, Inc. January, 2013. Prior to Hildebrand, she led two of Boston’s flagship organizations, both in the forefront of domestic violence and homeless youth services. Although she has also worked in the for-profit sector, her passion is to reposition nonprofits by building collaborations and innovative programs that address the unmet needs of the underserved. As a former Executive Director of Casa Myrna Vazquez, she is credited for the creation of SafeLink, the statewide domestic violence hotline.

    Shiela has written Op Ed pieces for The Boston Globe and is noted as one of Boston’s most influential leaders in Bill Brett’s highly acclaimed book, Boston All One Family. She has been featured in Women’s Business, received several awards for her leadership, and is prominently featured in Barry Dym’s 2007 book, Nonprofit Leadership, for her progressive management style.

    In 2014, Shiela was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Central Square Business Association and has served on other Boards, including Jane Doe Inc., Mt. Washington/East Boston Bank, Boston Cares, and Planned Parenthood of Eastern MA. She was a member of the Governor’s Commission Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence and Mitt Romney’s Transition Team. She is currently a member of The Boston Club. Moore received her MHA from Xavier University and BA from Oberlin College.
    James J. Hockhousen - Chief Financial Officer

    James J. Hockhousen - Chief Financial Officer

    Jim oversees all aspects of the accounting and finance operations to ensure their alignment with the organization’s goals and strategic plan. His responsibilities include creating and monitoring of the annual budget, establishing all internal controls, managing external business relationships, and overseeing all administrative functions including information technology.

    Jim has dedicated over 25 years of service to the nonprofit sector including the education, healthcare, mental health, and human services fields. Jim has held various positions of organizational leadership including Assistant Administrator, Vice President and CEO where he has successfully applied his expertise in finance, IT, and administration. Most recently, he served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at The Family Center before joining Hildebrand. Jim received his B.S. in Accounting from Providence College and remains active with the Alumni Association. Additionally, he has acted as liaison to the State of Rhode Island and trade associations, both locally and nationally, and served on numerous Boards, most notably as Treasurer for the RI School for the Deaf.

    Originally from RI, Jim now lives in Southborough where he enjoys “country living” with his wife, sons and German Shepherd.
    Gregg Ellenberg - Chief Program Officer

    Gregg Ellenberg - Chief Program Officer

    Gregg joined Hildebrand in March, 2020. Prior to Hildebrand, Gregg spent 16 years working within three YMCA associations. Most recently, Gregg worked for the Malden YMCA as the Senior Director of Community Programs where he was responsible for five Youth Community Centers, an ESOL program for newcomers, large-scale community events and building community partnerships with service providers, local businesses, and colleges. Gregg was also a YMCA of the USA Food Program Regional Facilitator—helping to support programs addressing food insecurity in Virginia and North Carolina and scaling teen food programs nationally. At the same time, Gregg served as the treasurer for the Malden Chamber of Commerce.

    Before Malden, Gregg was the Executive Director of Youth Development at the YMCA of Metro North where he instituted best practices for youth and camp programing for over 1,500 youth each year. Concurrently, he was also the Associate Executive Director of the Lynn YMCA where he was responsible for operations including 94 SROs. Gregg worked with the Lynn Continuum of Care to address issues around unaccompanied young adults experiencing homelessness and with the Lynn Public Schools to ensure youth experiencing homelessness attended summer camp.

    Gregg received his undergraduate degree in Sociology with a Music Minor from Colgate University and his Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management with a Global Studies Concentration from Northeastern University.

    Kathleen Carney - Director of Development

    Kathleen Carney - Director of Development

    Kathleen joined Hildebrand Family Self-Help Center in April 2020 as the Director of Development, to help the organization strengthen its culture of philanthropy and increase visibility. Kathleen is a nonprofit resource development professional with expertise in philanthropy, marketing/communications, and strategic nonprofit organizational development and growth. As a long-time resident of Boston, she has worked as a resource development professional for over 35 years for mission and values-driven, community-based nonprofits that provide important resources and programs to youth and families, particularly when they are in need due to difficult circumstances and complex life issues. Kathleen is a passionate advocate for social justice and has spent most of her professional, and personal, life meeting the changing needs of the Commonwealth’s residents, neighbors, and community partners. Revenue generation and relationship management are major components of Kathleen’s expertise. She is well known for her entrepreneurial, innovative strategies for strengthening and building a culture of philanthropy in nonprofit organizations and, concurrently, strategically positioning the organizations through marketing/communications activities to increase visibility and awareness.

  • Kelly Blackburn, Chair, Vice President Clinical Development, EIP Pharma
    Kelly Blackburn
     is a native Massachusetts resident and has been living and working in the Boston area for the past 15 years. She has an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and master's degrees in both education and health administration. For the past 20 years, Kelly has worked in the pharmaceutical industry in the drug development arena, and has been instrumental in three transformational drug approvals in three different therapeutic areas. She is currently Vice President, Clinical Development EIP Pharma as well as consultant to LogicBio Therapeutics working on a CNS drug for Alzheimer's Disease and a genome editing therapy respectively.

    Alongside her industry experience, Kelly is an active member in the community, having held board positions at Worcester Academy and WGBH. She received the Varsity Club Award in 2013 from Worcester Academy for excellence in athletics and professional career. Additionally, Kelly has worked with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) for the last 15 years as a volunteer foster care review panel member as well as a foster mother. In 2013, she was named as Area Foster Mother of the Year. Active participation in the community and helping to give children and their families hope of a brighter future remain cornerstones of Kelly's mission.

    Kelly Mann, Co-Chair, Vice President, Client Relationship Manager, TD Bank
    Kelly Mann is a Client Relationship Manager at TD Bank, serving as a team liaison between her Technology clients and the real estate, facilities, project management, and finance groups. Prior to joining the banking industry, Kelly began her career at a real estate group based in Providence, RI and later became the Leasing Manager for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Waltham, MA.

    Outside of her professional life, Kelly has been a board member of the Hildebrand Family Self-Help Center, Inc. Board since 2007 and currently serves as its board chair. She completed the Third Sector New England: Board Chair Governance Program in 2015. In 2006, Kelly was the recipient of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Volunteer of the Year award. Kelly resides in a multigenerational home in Watertown, MA with her husband, their daughter, and the family dog on the second floor and with her parents living on the first floor. The family regularly enjoys traveling to the Savannah, GA area as well as to the coast of Maine to visit family and friends. In her “free” time, Kelly enjoys taking flower arranging courses and reading.

    Clifford Long, Treasurer, Owner, Long & Gordon Real Estate
    Clifford Long, sole proprietor of Long and Gordon, is the third generation of his family to operate out of his office on Tremont Street, in Boston's South End. He has spent his career developing and managing commercial real estate. He prides himself in creating stability in Boston's neighborhoods by maintaining a standard of excellence in all of his buildings. A ten-year veteran of the Hildebrand Board, Cliff’s other passion is coaching his three sons in youth baseball. He has served as a Little League coach for more than 20 years. Additionally, Cliff serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Newton Central Little League.


    Glenda Allsopp, Clerk, Owner, A & B Consulting
    Glenda L. Allsopp is a principal in A & B Consulting, LLC an accounting and financial management company providing services to individuals, churches, non-profit organizations and small businesses. Previously she had worked at Raytheon, a Defense and Aerospace Systems Company in the positions of Business Manager or a Senior Cost Analyst.  She was also a Senior Analyst with MCR Federal, LLC, where she advised the United States Air Force - Force Protection Program Office in assessing purchases through life cycle and budgetary analysis.  She holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Boston College and an M.B.A. from Simmons Graduate School of Management (Boston, MA).
    Glenda joined the Board of Hildebrand in 2004 and serves as the Board’s clerk. In her limited spare time, she currently serves as Lay Minister at First Holiness Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts where she Co-Chairs the Diaconate Board and has been First Holiness Church's Treasurer for many years.

    Anthony D. Galluccio, Esq. is currently a partner at Galluccio & Watson LLP, a Cambridge-based law firm. He has served on the Hildebrand board since 2005 and became Vice Chair in the same year. Anthony has been elected to public offices for almost 20 years including as City Councilor, mayor of Cambridge, and Massachusetts State Senator. Along with being an avid supporter of Hildebrand, he serves on the board as Vice Chair of Centro Latino and is President of Galluccio Associates, a 501(c)3 charity which supports youth sports programs. Anthony also founded Ashley’s Angels, a program operating through Dana -Farber Cancer Institute that supports children with cancer in the Dominican Republic. Additionally, he enjoys coaching a number of youth sports teams in Cambridge.

    Wendell T. Joseph is an urban planner with a passion and a desire to help facilitate the growth and wellbeing of cities and communities by providing thoughtful and practical solutions to complex urban and social issues. His past experience includes planning work at citywide and neighborhood scales, parks and open space planning and projects, placemaking and engagement processes, and community needs and benefits. He currently works as Sasaki, an interdisciplinary design and research firm, where he works in close collaboration with studio principals and multidisciplinary project teams on research, design, and planning projects in urban districts, college and university campuses, and neighborhoods and communities around the world.

    Michelle Meiser is a Senior Community Partnerships & Development Specialist at Cambridge Trust, where her focus is loan origination for low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers and supporting CRA activity within the bank’s assessment area. Michelle brings over 20 years of experience in the affordable housing, community development and asset building fields with extensive program management and counseling experience. Before joining Cambridge Trust’s Community Partnerships & Development team she worked at Allston Brighton Community Development Corporation, where she led the organization’s homeownership and asset building initiatives, and provided oversight of their resident services and community engagement activities. In addition to serving on the board of Hildebrand, she also serves on the boards of the Massachusetts Community & Banking Council, and Financial Education Associates. She received her BA from Wheaton College, her MS at Northeastern University and was an early graduate of Boston University’s Institute for Nonprofit Leadership and Management.

    Pastor Ellis I. Washington, a native of Detroit, Michigan, is now a Pastor at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Cambridge, and an Adjunct Professor at the Andover-Newton Theological School, Newton Centre in Massachusetts. Rev. Washington graduated from Columbus State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, and Turner Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center (Atlanta) with the Master of Divinity degree. He is currently pursuing the Doctor of Ministry from Knox Theological Seminary (Ft. Lauderdale).

    Before coming to Cambridge, Rev. Washington provided dynamic leadership to several A.M.E. Churches throughout Georgia, in Philadelphia and at Grant A.M.E. Church in Boston. Rev. Washington has served as President of Black Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity. He appeared on CNN’s Election Center with Campbell Brown and American Morning as well as CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. He is a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, and Who’s Who among American Colleges and Universities.

    An aircraft enthusiast, Rev. Washington is studying to gain a private pilot license. He is a noted community leader, radio personality, freelance commercial voice talent, and a sought after public speaker. He is married and has one daughter.
