We’re excited to welcome Krystle Kelly to our team as the Director of Development! In this newly created position, Krystle will be engaging with our supporters, creating more volunteer opportunities, diversifying our funding through additional grant opportunities, and raising Hildebrand’s profile through community outreach. Krystle has over ten years’ experience working in Development and seven years’ experience working with families experiencing homelessness at Housing Families.

“Initially, what drew me to Hildebrand was the mission to secure a home for every family. It’s a mission that has always been close to my heart and what drew me to the Development field ten years ago.”

Krystle began her career in family homelessness, developing deep relationships with the families receiving services. Through this work, she was able to understand the varied and tenuous situations of these families on a personal level, learning to sensitively communicate that to the public. “I hope to be able to do the same for Hildebrand, and shine a light on the amazing work that’s happening right now in our community.”

Krystle's spirited personality is already felt throughout the organization. “I really enjoy connecting with people,” she says of working in development. “I enjoy working with program staff to learn how they create change as much as I love to meet with clients and hear their stories.”

“I’m so excited to meet with donors and friends of Hildebrand to understand what makes them give, their favorite programs, and what excites them about the impact they help us to create.” And, more so, what our supports would like to see happen within the organization. Crafting new systems that help the organization reach a new level of engagement is one of the aspects of her new role Krystle is looking forward to. “An organization is most effective when everyone is empowered and part of the development process, and the staff at Hildebrand seem so ready to launch with this program.

“Their positivity is infectious and I’m so eager to begin.”

Krystle has a dual Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management and Social Sciences from Daniel Webster College and a Master’s degree in Communications with a focus on Public Relations and Advertising from Suffolk University.

“I am hoping to meet everyone associated with Hildebrand to introduce myself and hear more about them. Let’s schedule a coffee or come on in for a site visit! I’d also love to learn more about organizations in the Greater Boston area and hear how they’d like to participate with this incredible nonprofit organization. And ultimately, I’d love to make a great impact on the work we’re able to do for the Cambridge community and beyond. Our goal is to house more families, and I’d like to help us create new funding source in order to do just that!”
